Widely acknowledged as one of the most talented performers and hard-working acts in South East Queensland, A true multi-instrumentalist, Benny commands a pure essence of high energy performance blended with beautiful harmonies and rhythm.. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes deep but always groovin', he transcends time and genre while staying true to the soul-boogie.. Melodically building dynamic crescendos then stripping the jam back to its bare beginnings.
Known often as one of the "original loopers" , Benny D was at the forefront of extensively utilising live loop pedal technology before it became common place in today's musical frontier. Because of his experience, he is highly regarded as being way ahead of his peers in live looping performance and gives one on one classes in looping techniques from time to time.
Prior to this, Benny cut his teeth performing for many years at Dracula's Cabaret and Movieworld on The GC, playing in an array of live bands (The Aphrodisiacs, Pip's Migraine, MuthaFunk, The Flapping Plastics, Harmonium, TwoUp, Tokyo Beef and many more).
Following band life, Benny D made a firm stamp on the Gold Coast music scene as a solo looping artist and was subsequently a finalist at the GCMA's three times. (2016 Emerging Artist Of the Year, 2017 Artist Of The Year, 2020 Release Of The Year) . During this time, he toured extensively up and down the East Coast of Australia, meeting new audiences and sharing his music and stories along the way.
Benny was accepted into the Griffith Conservatorium Of Music in 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor Of Popular Music from which he steadily moved into music production as a side hustle, producing/playing/mixing/mastering a multitude of successful releases for local, national and international artists.

His love of music is an integral part in the balance of happy energy that Benny exudes in his passionate and powerful performances. There's also a mystery quotient that you only see rarely in artists.....that thing....you know the thing.
